When Avent Interiors was approached by Leading Resolutions to complete partitioning work in their office space, they were excited to work for yet another client in the Swindon area. Leading Resolutions specialise in steering organisations through the intricacies of technology transformation, ensuring that investments in technology yield tangible business benefits. Client Background and Challenges
Leading Resolutions, who were incorporated in 2001, have many strings to their bow. Here’s a full list of the services they provide: business and technology transformation, it and implementation, data and analytics, cyber and risk management, sourcing and vendor management, M&A advisory, operations efficiencies, and emerging trends. The challenge the client faced in their Swindon office was poorly optimised space. This manifested in the shape of open-plan space, which they wanted to be private offices. Avent Interiors was chosen for this project due to their impeccable track record of providing partitioning.
Project Goals and Requirements
The project goal included taking the open plan area and constructing two private office spaces. These offices would need to remain well lit through natural light and therefore need to have one side that was glazed. There were further requirements for the rooms to be well acoustically treated while also matching the existing fit out design.
Solution and Implementation
Partition Works: Avent Interiors implemented aluminium-framed glass partitions with single-glazed 12mm CTF glass, meeting aesthetic and functional requirements. Solid partitions featured a robust construction of 50mm metal C stud, dual layers of 12.5mm Soundbloc plasterboard, and 25mm APR insulation for sound control.
Electrical Works: Adapting existing power outlets to accommodate the new desk layout involved meticulous planning. Avent Interiors assessed the electrical capacity, provided necessary modifications, and ensured compatibility with the distribution board, minimising the need for additional enabling works.
Results and Client Feedback
Once the project was completed, the client was left with two new private offices that perfectly met the needs of the employees they were being constructed for while making optimal use of the space available. The client was particularly pleased with how the glazed sides allowed for the office to allow natural light in.
