Introduction
Expeditors is a global logistics company who are known for their expertise around supply chain solutions. With a presence in over 100 countries Expeditors specialise in ocean and air freight, customs brokerage and even warehousing. Expeditors came to Avent Interiors needing furniture installed into their recently acquired office space located in Avonmouth, Bristol. The main goal of the project was to fit out Expeditors new space with top of the range furniture whilst utilising a space plan which made the most of the available space.
Client Background and Challenges
Expeditors’ commitment to innovation and customer service has made them a trusted partner for businesses worldwide seeking efficient and reliable logistics support. The main challenge which was affecting Expeditors was the lack of an effective space plan to optimise the area. Expeditors came to Avent Interiors due to their track record of delivering quality furniture fit outs to clients similar to the one in question.
Project Goals and Requirements
The key objectives included enhancing functionality, modernising the design, and, most importantly, providing Expeditors with an arsenal of office furniture that they could rely on for years to come. The furniture needed to remain in budget while also helping to get the most from the environment.
Solution and Implementation
Avent Interiors worked in close partnership with Expeditors to craft a comprehensive strategy. This encompassed a thorough evaluation of the space, grasping precise needs, and suggesting customised design remedies. The furniture that was suggest by Avent Interiors for the main office space area included task chairs, height adjustable desking, screens, storage pedestals, monitor arms, meeting tables/chairs and a range of breakout furniture and storage. All the furniture implemented by Avent Interiors were specifically designed to be ergonomic and long-lasting providing Expeditors with a fit out that would last.
Given Expeditors striking colour scheme of red and white, Avent Interiors thought it would be a missed opportunity not to use these colours where appropriate. Throughout the final fit out notes of red and white have been tactically deployed to keep the office in line with the brand’s identity.
One design element the client was particularly keen on was height adjustable desking. Every desk provided ended up being height adjustable, as the benefits, such as employee morale and health, outweighed the extra cost.
One unique solution implemented in the final design was the utilisation of hanging panels to create a sectioned-off breakout space. It was fitting that the panels were chosen to be red and grey again, hinting at the client’s brand.
Results and Client Feedback
Following the furniture fit out, Expeditors experienced a notable upswing in employee morale and productivity. The revitalised space instigated a favourable transformation in how staff interact with their surroundings, ultimately leading to enhanced operational effectiveness.
