Go-Pak wanted to refresh their two-storey office building located on a sizable industrial estate. The project would involve creating new workspaces which would include offices, breakout areas and a meeting room. The main aim of the project was to enhance the office environment utilising expert space planning combined with interior design.
Client Overview and Challenges
Go-Pak was established in 2009 and has grown to be at the forefront of their industry. As is the case with most companies, as their business grew, the need for a more functional and organised office space became apparent. Their previous layout was outdated and didn’t support team collaboration or accommodate their expanding workforce. Go-Pak wanted a modern office with well-defined areas for different functions. Project Goals and Requirements
The objective of the project was to reorganise Go-Pak’s office to enhance both comfort and functionality. This included the construction of three new individual offices, a breakout space, and a meeting room on the ground floor, with an additional four new offices on the first floor. Go-Pak also required soundproofing between different areas, a contemporary design, and the use of sustainable materials that reflected their brand values. The fit out needed to comply with industry standards, improve energy efficiency, and include LED lighting upgrades to ensure better workplace illumination.
Solution and Implementation
Avent Interiors developed a tailored solution that met Go-Pak’s specific needs, incorporating a mix of solid and glazed partitions to balance privacy and openness. Here’s what Avent Interiors implemented:
Partitioning: Aluminium profiles in white and grey were used to frame the partitions, with 50mm metal C studs and 25mm insulation to provide soundproofing. Double-glazed glass panels with integrated blinds were installed to offer light control and privacy.
Ceiling: A non-load-bearing suspended ceiling (600mm x 600mm) with a 12mm ply lid was fitted, improving the office’s acoustic performance.
Flooring: The installation of 95.72 sqm of vinyl flooring in high-traffic areas and 97.2 sqm of carpet tiles in office spaces, ensuring a combination of durability and comfort.
Electrical Works: Lighting was reconfigured to align with the new layout, and additional LED fittings were installed to provide even, energy-efficient lighting throughout the office.
