A sizeable automotive manufacturer with a focus on recreational vehicles. Baileys of Bristol had found themselves with an antiquated canteen area. This area lacked contemporary functionality and aesthetic appeal, which presented difficulties for the business. The client wanted to update this communal area to better represent the calibre of their brand and give employees a more comfortable working environment.
Project Goals and Requirements
The main objectives of this project were to provide and install comfortable, stylish, and durable furniture that could endure daily use. Versatility in seating, ease of cleaning, and high durability were essential requirements. Baileys of Bristol asked for particular finishes, such as chrome and anthracite, to match the aesthetics of their brand. Additionally, the furniture choices needed to be easily movable, stackable, and in compliance with workplace ergonomic standards.
Solution and Implementation
The team at Avent Interiors selected a variety of round tables, stackable chairs, and bench-style tables to meet Baileys of Bristol’s needs. The team set up four bench-style tables with anthracite tops and silver legs—each measuring 2000 mm wide, 800 mm deep, and 740 mm high—for the main seating.
These tables came with eight matching benches that measured 1800 mm in width, 350 mm in depth, and 410 mm in height. These benches are designed to be long-lasting and simple to clean, making them perfect for a busy canteen setting. The team added two round tables with white tops and chrome bases to enhance flexibility and visual appeal. This option gave the space a welcoming appearance and more seating options.
To blend in with the colour scheme of the room, the four sled-based chairs had polyurethane shells in a variety of colours, including Marigold, Coral, Grape, Forest, Steel Blue and Anthracite. These chairs are easy to store and reconfigure due to the ability to stack up to eight units high.
Avent Interiors oversaw the project using a tight schedule of work that covered waste removal, assembly, and delivery. Recycling was given top priority in line with Baileys of Bristol’s environmental objectives. The installation team completed the process during regular business hours, causing the least amount of disturbance to the workspace.
