October has been another brilliant month for Avent Interiors, both on-site, in the office and across the wider community. To kick off the month, our team attended and exhibited at our first ever sales conference. We’ve been back to one of the most iconic buildings we’ve ever worked on. Our chosen sponsors have been on a big trip across the English Channel.
Selling South Success – Our First Event
We kicked off our month by attending the inaugural Selling South at Ashton Gate, Bristol. For this event the team attending were both sponsoring and exhibiting.
Hosted by Sunjay Singh of Life Media and Lambardar Marketing, the event was a mix of networking, exhibits and some incredible speakers. Throughout the day we had the pleasure of speaking to many different professionals across various industries. There was a wide range of topics to talk about, from office and commercial interiors to sales and company culture.
The team enjoyed each and every talk which were on a range of topics including AI, leadership and behavioural science. The day was rounded off with an outstanding keynote from England Rugby legend Sir Clive Woodward.
Our task chair competition was a huge success and got people talking about the importance of office furniture. We recently announced the winner over on our LinkedIn. Our lucky winner, Mark Flowers, received his task chair to Age UK South Gloucestershire in Thornbury. A worthy winner, and we’re glad it went to a great local cause!
Overall, the team had a brilliant day supporting Selling South in its debut year. We are already looking forward to next year, which is already confirmed and set to be even bigger and better!

Bristol Cathedral – Continued Works
We are delighted to have returned to the Bristol Cathedral to complete our café fit out works. This section of the project involved installing some motorised sliding patio-style doors. This installation will allow for more natural light whilst also improving access from the courtyard area to the café.
Our team completed the original full café fit out transforming the dated 1960s space into a modern, welcoming retreat. The design strikes a perfect balance between a modern look and historical features. This latest phase of the project continues to improve visitor flow and, most importantly, access. With the Cathedral being a Grade 1 listed building it was important to develop a modern feel whilst maintaining historic features.
It has been our absolute privilege to have worked on such an iconic part of the Bristol skyline. Currently the café is being operated by Pinkmans, who are providing some incredibly tasty food and even better coffee. We are over the moon with how the finished fit out looks and have received excellent feedback from the team at Bristol Cathedral.

Sponsorship Update – Community of Purpose
We are delighted to bring you another update on our continued support of Community of Purpose throughout 2025. Community of Purpose is a Bristol-based social enterprise which empowers young people from Bristol through the medium of sport, specifically football.
As part of their efforts, Community of Purpose have recently completed their Bristol2Bordeaux trip. This is a cultural exchange which connects young people from Bristol with students in Bordeaux, France. The aim is to provide young people from the local area with an educational experience and, for some, a once-in-a-lifetime trip abroad.
The trip was completed throughout October and was absolutely packed with fun. Here’s just a few of the activities that the group got up to:
- Participating in high-energy activities at Tépacap Bordeaux
- Joining local students for PE, science, and English lessons
- Exploring Bordeaux’s landmarks, from the Miroir d’Eau and City Hall to the riverside districts, by trams, buses, boats, and open-top tours
The programme offers the group more opportunities to develop confidence, build friendships, and experience a rich cultural exchange. We’re proud to be supporting this initiative alongside Lancer Scott, Exacta Technologies, Olympian, Made for Impact, and Cabot Circus, and it’s fantastic to see the positive impact being made.
