The month of August has been another thrilling month filled with new clients, project progress and plenty of time-sensitive work. On top of all our usual project work, we’ve been on sites throughout Bristol helping local schools refresh their interiors before welcoming back students and staff alike.
Our First Project For A New Client
We’re excited to be working with new client, Maxinity Software Ltd, to deliver a complete fit out of their new office at Grosvenor House, Bristol. The move comes after the landlord took the decision to convert their current building into flats, prompting the 28-strong team to relocate to a space that will be entirely their own.
Our scope begins with a partial strip out of the existing area, clearing the way for a complete reimagining of the space. From there, the fit out includes full-height partitioning throughout, creating well-defined areas across the floor, along with a statement boardroom finished with a black suspended ceiling and glazed meeting room partitions. There’s also a brand new kitchen and breakout space for the team to relax and connect, backed by a full upgrade of the electrical, data, lighting and air conditioning systems. Bespoke acoustic PET wall finishes and branded glass manifestations will complete the look, helping the space feel unmistakably Maxinity’s own.
Works are set to run over a seven-week programme; our team are already on-site. Most recently we have completed the strip out and are now well into constructing partitioning.
Wards Yate Progress Update
Our project for Wards Solicitors is really starting to come together; progress throughout August has displayed just how quickly fit out projects can transform.
Since our last update, partitioning and wall lining are in throughout, alongside a full run of electrics, data, air conditioning, plumbing, and fire/intruder alarm installations. The kitchen has been plumbed in, and the suspended ceiling grid is complete, ready for tiling.
Over the next couple of weeks flooring is going in throughout the office, followed by mastic and a full clean before furniture is installed in the days that follow. We’re on track to complete works and clear the site in early September, and we can’t wait to hand Wards Solicitors the keys to their new location.
TRG Progress Update
TRG is another site where completion is on the horizon. Since starting on-site at Emerald Park East in Emersons Green, our team has been steadily transforming the space, and the scale of the change is becoming clear with every visit. Having already constructed the breakout area within the larger unit, we’re spending the last week of August constructing the stud wall, installing air conditioning and completing other clean-air works, readying the space for the next phase.
We’ll be kicking off September by completing suspended ceiling works along with fire-rating, tape and jointing while another section of mezzanine floor is being completed. With several trades running in parallel, keeping the programme tight has been just as important as the quality of the finish, and it’s been a real team effort to keep everything moving in step.
It’s rewarding to see this unique warehouse fit out starting to take shape, and we’re looking forward to sharing more as we move towards completion in the coming weeks.
School Holiday Refurbishments
While students across the South West have been relaxing during their well-earned summer holidays, we’ve been busy at work in their schools. Mainly working with Futura Learning, we’ve completed a variety of refurbishment projects readying schools for the students’ return.
It’s been a genuinely varied summer of school works. We’ve installed new suspended ceilings, lined walls with fresh boarding, skimmed and finished with new MDF skirting throughout, and carried out general plastering wherever old surfaces needed bringing back to standard. Painting and decorating has featured heavily too, from full room repaints to a striking hall scheme. Floors have had just as much attention, with timber flooring being sanded back and sealed helping to withstand years of heavy foot traffic.
Elsewhere, the work went further still: replacing tired doors with new aluminium-framed exit doors and a smart vision-panel office door. Stripping washrooms right back and rebuilding them with a new accessible WC, early years cubicles and a trough sink with mixer taps.
It’s always great to be welcomed back by clients we know, especially when the projects are helping the students in our local community. We’re extremely proud to deliver such important refurbishment works throughout this time-sensitive period and hope to complete many more projects in the future.
